Aon has entered into an agreement with Catamaran to establish a brokering joint venture in India, maximizing the technical and innovation capabilities of both firms worldwide. This insurance brokering joint venture is part of Catamaran’s continuing mission to bring long-term services to underserved parts of India’s economy.

By combining Catamaran’s local expertise with Aon’s global resources, technical skills, and data insights, Aon and Catamaran will provide risk management and insurance brokering solutions for clients in India. Workforce Picks Synchrony for APAC Implementation

Workforce Software has appointed Synchrony Global as a key implementation partner in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. This global alliance will make it easier for employers in the APAC region to achieve greater efficiencies, reduce labor costs, and enable real-time strategic insights across their entire global workforce, according to Workforce Software. Its cloud-based workforce management suite provides seamless integration with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and Employee Central Payroll. NGA Opens HR Innovation Centre in Bristol

NGA Human Resources (HR) has opened its new NGA HR Innovation Centre in Bristol, England. The decision to open the centre in Bristol extends NGA’s tenure in the city, where the HR and payroll specialist will continue to draw on the engineering, HR technology, and customer support expertise. 

The HR Innovation Centre will serve three equally vital core functions, according to NGA. It is the lead software engineering and development centre for NGA ResourceLink, NGA’s market-leading, scalable HR and payroll platform for the U.K. and Ireland. It is also the customer support hub, providing more than 800 ResourceLink customers and millions of employees with the latest cloud software and user support. The Bristol Centre will be NGA’s international engineering innovation hub for state-of-the-art technologies, including cloud HR, payroll, HR analytics, and BPaaS (Business Process as a Service).

Avalara’s AvaTax Excise now fully automates the calculation of sales and use taxes, in addition to excise tax, the company announced. By leveraging Avalara’s Compliance CloudTM platform, AvaTax Excise supports the determination and calculation of tax for businesses in many industries.
